SPRING TRAINING TRIP

The crew spring training trip that will take place in Oak Ridge, TN during the NCS and STA spring break. This trip is part of the spring season and all athletes on the team should plan to attend.
Students, coaches and chaperones will depart by bus at 5am on Friday, March 21st and return on the evening of Friday, March 28th around 9pm. Note that only coaches and designated parent chaperones are allowed to attend this trip. Crew practices during the first week of spring break will be optional (March 15th – 20th). Additional details about the trip were sent out from the CCCRC email on March 4th.

Please label all items with rower’s name or initials, if possible!

12 athletic shirts/tank tops

12 pairs of spandex shorts/compression shorts/uni’s

3-4 pairs long spandex, leggings or close-fitting sweatpants

5-6 long-sleeve athletic shirts for morning rows

7 gym shorts

Light raingear (including rain pants if you have them)

2-3 sweatshirts or fleeces

2-3 Sweatpants for hotel

Couple pairs of casual pants/jeans and shirts for non-workout activities/hanging out at hotel (we will not be going to a restaurant, so no fancy clothes necessary!!!)

Toiletries (shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste and toothbrush)

Parent-approved over the counter medicines, including analgesics and topicals such as Neosporin (rowers may not share medications with other rowers)

Bandaids, Medical Tape for blisters (make sure your child has enough tape for their hands!)

Laundry/mesh bag for wet clothes (tell athletes to hang them to dry before putting them in a laundry bag), quarter laundry machine available at the hotel, optional to bring quarters and laundry pods

Cell phone and charger

$100-125 spending money for small incidentals (i.e. movie, extra snacks)

TWO large water bottles for practice, clearly labeled with athlete’s name
Don’t bring expensive jewelry or electronics. CCCRC cannot be responsible for lost or stolen items.
